December 20, 2012 In response to the second wave of DDoS attacks, the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) issued an advisory for financial institutions and technology service providers, describing the attacks and outlining recommended mitigation efforts and responses. The advisory also reiterates warnings that these attacks could be used in conjunction with attacks designed to facilitate fraudulent wire transfers. Read More (Source: OCC)

February 9, 2013 The Financial Services Information Sharing and Analysis Center (FS-ISAC) issued a proprietary alert regarding the recent and increased distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks launched against multiple and smaller financial institutions.
