FSSCC Releases Annual Report

The Financial Services Sector Coordinating Council for Critical Infrastructure Protection and Homeland Security (FSSCC) released its 2012-2013 Annual Report during its December 2013 meeting held in New York. The report, available at www.FSSCC.org, outlines the council’s activities between July 2012 and June 2013, including:

  • Industry response to, and the identification of lessons learned from, Superstorm Sandy;
  • Active participation in the response to President Obama’s Executive Order, “Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity” (EO-13636) and Presidential Policy Directive/PPD-21, “Critical Infrastructure Security and Resilience,” and in the development of NIST’s Preliminary Cybersecurity Framework;
  • The release of the Research & Development (R&D) Agenda for the Financial Services Sector;
  • The creation of a four-tiered leadership model to ensure that all FSSCC members (associations, operators, and utilities and exchanges) were represented within the council’s Executive Committee; and more.
